CHAD CHRISTENSEN
President

Chad Christensen is the President of Cottonwood Capital. Mr. Christensen oversees the asset and property management components of the business, as well as the financial and general operations of the company. Mr. Christensen also oversees the development projects and is also actively involved in acquisitions, marketing and capital raising activities. Mr. Christensen co-founded Cottonwood Capital, LLC in 2004 and founded its precursor in 2003.

Previously Mr. Christensen worked as a broker with the Stan Johnson Co. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Stan Johnson Company has closed over $2 billion in net lease real estate transactions in 44 states. Mr. Christensen worked on a three person team with the company founder. This team brokered and closed over 25 transactions totaling more than $125 million during Mr. Christensen’s employment. Through this experience Mr. Christensen gained extensive knowledge and experience in finding, financing and closing real estate transactions. He has created relationships with high net worth individuals, commercial real estate brokers, real estate investment trusts, and large conduit lenders. The vision and business plan for Cottonwood Capital stemmed from Mr. Christensen’s experience working as a broker with other Tenant-In-Common Sponsors.

Before working with The Stan Johnson Co., Mr. Christensen worked for Goldman Sachs as a summer associate in the Private Wealth Group in Los Angeles and New York. While at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Christensen worked on various business development and client acquisition projects. Prior to Business School, Mr. Christensen founded and managed Paramo Investments, an investment company based in Salt Lake City.

Mr. Christensen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Utah and a Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania with an emphasis in Real Estate and Finance. He also holds a Real Estate License in the State of Utah.
