Senior VP of Marketing
Eric Marlin serves as the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Cottonwood Capital. He is responsible for raising equity for Cottonwood Capital’s real estate investments. As part of this effort, Eric interfaces extensively with the community of Registered Representatives, Broker Dealers, and individual investors. Mr. Marlin also oversees Cottonwood Capital’s marketing department and is instrumental in developing the marketing strategy for Cottonwood Capital.
Mr. Marlin brings nine years of marketing and sales experience in the financial services industry. He began his career in 1998 with Emmett Larkin Securities in San Francisco, where he acted as a project manager for broker/dealer and clearinghouse issues. From 2000 until 2003, Mr. Marlin worked as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch Private Client Group where he focused primarily on financial planning, estate planning, and asset management for high net worth individuals and for small to midsize corporations. Eric entered the tenant in common industry in 2003 where he worked with a high net worth group in Newport Beach specializing in 1031 exchanges. There he was responsible for managing the sale and completion of all transactions from beginning to close. In 2005 Mr. Marlin joined CORE Realty Holdings as Vice President of the Western Region. In this position Mr. Marlin raised over 160 Million Dollars of equity for tenant in common real estate investments. Mr. Marlin is well known and widely recognized as one of the premier marketing professionals in the Tenant-In-Common industry. He has extensive relationships throughout the community and country.
Mr. Marlin received a bachelor’s degree in History of Public Policy from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1998. He is a licensed securities representative with his Series 7 and 63. He resides in Salt Lake City, UT.
