Chief Executive Officer

Daniel W. Shaeffer is the CEO of Cottonwood Capital. Mr. Shaeffer oversees capital raising activities, acquisition activities, and strategic initiatives. Prior to Cottonwood Capital, Mr. Shaeffer worked for 6 years as an Investment Banker for Morgan Stanley and most recently as an investment research analyst for Wasatch Advisors in Salt Lake City. President

Chad Christensen is the President of Cottonwood Capital. Mr. Christensen oversees Cottonwood Capital’s operations, investor relations, and property and asset management business. Prior to Cottonwood Capital, Mr. Christensen worked as a real estate broker with the Stan Johnson Company in Oklahoma and focused on transactions with net lease real estate tenants like Walgreens. Mr. Christensen received a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of Utah and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Read more...

Chief Investment Officer

Joseph Siragusa is the Chief Investment Officer of Cottonwood Capital. Mr. Siragusa oversees real estate due diligence, underwriting and debt financing activities. Prior to Cottonwood Capital, Mr. Siragusa worked as a Vice President in Citigroup’s commercial mortgage finance group for 8 years, where he worked on the securitization of commercial mortgages. General Counsel

Gregg Christensen is Cottonwood Capital’s General Counsel. Mr. Christensen oversees and coordinates all legal aspects of Cottonwood Capital businesses. Prior to joining Cottonwood Capital, Mr. Christensen was a Principal and General Counsel for Cherokee & Walker, an investment company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Senior VP of Marketing

Eric Marlin is Senior Vice President of Marketing for Cottonwood Capital. He is responsible for raising equity for Cottonwood Capital’s real estate investments. As part of this effort, Eric interfaces extensively with the community of Registered Representatives, Broker Dealers, and individual investors. Prior to joining Cottonwood Capital, Mr. Marlin worked for CORE Realty Holdings where he was Vice President of the Western Region. Mr. Marlin received a Bachelors Degree in the History of Public Policy from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Read more...
